Solvent Based Pad Printing Ink Range, 1- and (alternatively) 2-Component
APPLICATION
Pad printing ink ranges TP 273 and TP 273/T are applied on demanding substrates such as polyamide (PA), polyurethane (PU), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE, TPU, TPS etc.), so-called soft touch coatings as well as on rubber, leather and synthetic leather.
For printing on thermoplastic elastomers ink range TP 273/T is especially suitable.
PROPERTIES
• Pad inks TP 273 and TP 273/T are solvent based pad printing inks. They can be processed as 1-component and (alternatively) as 2-component ink with hardener.
• Processed as 1-component ink TP 273 and TP 273/T dry physically, as 2-component ink physically chemically-reactive. They result in a satin gloss finish.
• TP 273/T is a modification of TP 273. Depending on printing conditions and type of substrate, in some individual applications TP 273/T shows better printability and adhesion.
• For printing on thermoplastic elastomers ink range TP 273/T is especially suitable.
• TP 273 and TP 273/T prints show a high elasticity and flexibility.
• Until further notice, both systems are available.
• Processing as 2-component ink will further increase ink adhesion properties on difficult substrates. 2-component processing is especially recommended for thermoplastic elastomers.
• TP 273 and TP 273/T inks are suitable for medium-term outdoor applications.
• Note: Because of the variety of substrates, pre-tests are essential. It is also advised to check efficiency of possibly required pre-treatment of substrates (cleaning/degreasing, flame/corona/plasma treatment) or maybe even post-treatment (flame-drying).
